Bill Sullivan has over 30 years of experience with engineering, construction, and operation and maintenance in the electric power generation industry. His areas of expertise include project management, engineering management, asset management and project engineering. He has experience with coal and oil-fired plants, natural gas combined cycle plants and nuclear facilities. Just prior to joining EIG, Bill acted as an independent consultant providing project management services for the Risk And Management Company (“RAMCo”). While associated with RAMCo, he completed risk assessment profile projects -- most recently for AES North America. Prior to that, Bill served as VP of Engineering, Construction, Procurement and Operation Support for USGen New England (an affiliate of National Energy Gas Transmission) where he held responsibility for providing all technical support for USGen’s New England fleet of fossil and hydro plants (4200MW). He also served as NEGT’s VP of Engineering And O&M Services, where he was responsible for managing the operating plant engineering group (6000MW supported), and project engineering for generating facilities in development (4000MW) and under construction (5400MW). Prior to that, Bill was Director of Generation Services for the New England Power Company (“NEP”), where he managed the engineering and construction services groups serving 4200MW of generation. Also while working for NEP, he was Project Manager of the 500MW Manchester Street Repowering Project -- a project which was completed two months ahead of schedule and significantly under budget. Earlier in his career, Bill work for the Stone and Webster Corporation where he completed various project management/ engineering assignments for generation then owned by Detroit Public Lighting, Tampa Electric, Consolidated Edison, Boston Edison and Northeast Utilities. Bill also worked briefly for Kaiser Engineers. Bill attended Northeastern University where he earned both BS and MS Degrees in Mechanical Engineering. While there, he was inducted into the Pi Tau Sigma and Tau Beta PI honorary fraternities. Bill is a Registered Professional Engineer in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island, and is a career-long member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
