Tom Sullivan provides arborist perspectives at Arboriculture Australia

EIG Senior Consultant Tom Sullivan recently served as a speaker at the Arboriculture Australia annual conference in Adelaide, Australia. He gave two presentations at the event:

  • Urban Wildlife Sanctuary Along an Electric Transmission Right-of-Way: A Successful Partnership and IVM Demonstration (based on a 20-plus year partnership between Mass Audubon and National Grid) and
  • Right-of-Way Vegetation Management Research in North America from 1952 to Present: A Review of Themes and Findings.

In addition to 35-plus years of electric utility experience, Tom is a Certified Arborist and Massachusetts Licensed Forester. He was awarded the 2004 Utility Arborist Award by the Utility Arborist Association, currently serves as a Director of the Utility Arborist Association and is President of the Princeton Land Trust.
