EIG has played a critical role in Hurricane Sandy restoration efforts. Key players on the EIG team worked to help transmission and distribution system restoration efforts in New England and Long Island. EIG also assisted with restoration of a major generating station in New Jersey whose internal electrical systems were severely impacted by flooding from Sandy’s storm surge. EIG’s team helped devise, test, and commission temporary facilities to help get the plant up and running, and later assisted with integration of permanent replacement equipment.
